Sita Montgomery

Can't you just tell that Sita Montgomery of The Family Room Design Studio had a ball decorating her Utah home?? The kitchen underwent a huge transformation over the summer. To give the space a fresh and bright feeling, she had the cabinets painted a soft, creamy off-white. I loooove how it turned out! The delightful family room has the same happy vibe of the kitchen...I am loving bursts of fresh color! Sita has lots more great photos of her home taken by Paige Davis over at her blog, so head on over to finish the tour. And if you're lucky enough to live in Utah and are looking for some design help, definitely look her up!

Sita was gracious enough to provide us with the source list below. If you're wondering about anything else, just ask!

Tobi Fairley + Beverly Wells

What's better than a home decorated by Tobi Fairley?? How about a home decorated for the holidays by Tobi and her mother Beverly Wells! I positively adore the turquoise and green palette that was inspired by the Wells' furnishings and gorgeous aqua-painted kitchen cabinetry, as well as the green-and-cream fabric from Tobi's new fabric line. They actually used it to make the fab striped runners on the dining table...so cute! You can see more images taken by Rett Peek and read all about their traditions over at At Home in Arkansas!

Melanie Elston

"No beige allowed!" declared the owners of this Chicago apartment to interior designer Melanie Elston. More specifically, they wanted their home to be vibrant, cheerful and full of color. (My kind of people!) Despite the different colors and patterns used throughout, the home really flows from room to room. I seriously cannot tell you how much I love the chairs upholstered in the always-fab "New Wave" in Capri from Old World Weavers layered with the Kelly Wearstler rug. Read all about the dramatic space and finish the tour with lots more photographs by Werner Straube over at Traditional Home!

Dana Small + Giveaway Winner!

You know what I love? Homes that don't take themselves too seriously; ones full of color, life and laughter! That's exactly the feeling I get from these photos taken by Annie Schlechter for Coastal Living. The home was designed by Dana Small, who infused their waterfront home in Stuart, Florida with cheerful, bright, beachy colors. She actually studied color therapy in design school and learned how it can hinder or help productivity. Imagine all that gets done in this home! I adore all the texture and natural elements in the living room, all so pretty. And hello there, dining room! The collection of colorful recycled frames really stands out on that vivid green background. Lastly, the kids spaces are loads of fun. Love Benjamin Moore's Tropicana Cabana on the walls of the playroom! A lot of the furnishings in the home were sourced through Dana's design and gifts boutique in Stuart, Florida called Matilda's. Definitely looks like a place I'll need to check out if I'm ever in the area!

Time to announce the lucky winner of the J.Covington Home lamp giveaway!

Marjorie from Nashville, Tennessee!

Come back next week because I have yet another giveaway coming up! Until then, have a wonderful weekend!! :)

Denise Fogarty Interiors

Fresh and unexpected, that's precisely why I love these rooms designed by Denise Fogarty and photographed by Alise O'Brien! It's really no wonder why Denise was named one of the seven of St. Louis' top designers. I know we're all fans of white kitchens these days (I'm downright obsessed), but aren't they ten times yummier when paired with blue walls? I love the little computer area too, although I know I'd spend way more time there than actually cooking! The living area has so many great details, with a nod to the beach that I adore. And hello there fab-u-lous dining room! The coral artwork pops on that vibrant green, and I love how the gorgeous upholstered chairs just pull everything together so perfectly. If you're loving these rooms as much as me, you'll definitely want to head on over to see more of Denise's work right here! Have a fantastic Halloween weekend you guys!!

Edit: The color in the family room is Benjamin Moore's "California Breeze" #757, the kitchen is Farrow & Ball, "Borrowed Light", and the dining room is a custom mix of Benjamin Moore 1/2 "Perennial" #405 and 1/2 "Huntington Green" #406.

Colorful Bedroom Makeover

SO much fun color!! It would be hard not to wake up happy in this bedroom featured in BHG. I love that they brought in that storage chest to use as a cozy window bench...you can never have too many cute, colorful pillows! The window coverings here are great too. I love how they layered the bamboo blinds with the orange panels. Head over to BHG for more photos, including before shots too!

We have a lot on our plate this weekend. We are getting ready to put our house on the market (eek!) so there's lots of projects and major de-cluttering going down around our house! Once things are looking good around here, I'll share some photos with you guys! Have a fantastic weekend! :)

Chris Barrett Design

It's Mad Men...with a twist! I love how designer Chris Barrett used the same vibrant complementary colors throughout this entire Manhattan Beach home for a cohesive look that's fun and inviting. So much great retro furniture here...those turquoise lounge chairs are so cool! I'm really loving the artwork, especially the poolside photograph by Slim Aarons in the dining room. Oh, the dining room. That's my favorite...the juicy colors, awesome chairs, fab chandelier! See more of this home photographed by Karyn Millet right over here!
