Merry Christmas!!

I just had to pop in to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! It may not be all that white out there, but there's plenty of good cheer! Between the yummy treats, gifts from Santa, and laughs with the ones you love, thank you for taking the time to visit House of Turquoise! To see more of this ruby and turquoise winter wonderland captured by Rett Peek, visit Tobi Fairley's blog! I'll see you back here soon! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

Merry & Bright

I am crazy about holiday decorations that capture the joy and happiness of the season! Is there a better way than with COLOR?! Thanks to photograher Rett Peek, today we are revisiting the beautiful home of Beverly Wells, who worked with her daughter (and our favorite) Tobi Fairley to put a cheerful spin on holiday decor. The garland on the mantel is dazzling, I love all the different ornaments and sea of color! Same goes for the tabletop tree...so adorable! Visit Tobi's blog to read more about this space!

The pretty packages under their tree are only reminding me that I need to finish up my wrapping! But before I do, I need to announce the winner of Tobi's pillow giveaway!

Congrats, Erin! And to everyone else, I wish you the most wonderful, joy-filled holiday weekend! Safe travels to those of you off visiting loved ones near or far! As for Chris and me, we're staying put here in Minneapolis and are very much looking forward to our first Christmas as a married couple! :)

Benjie Jones

Every single room in this enchanting Atlanta home belonging to designer Benjie Jones gets a holiday touch! We're talking live trees in the kitchen and dining room, wreaths and a big wooden Santa in the master bedroom and bathroom, and leftover sprigs of evergreen tucked behind paintings everywhere. Keeping things artistic but measured, and fun without being too serious is actually the designer's everyday decorating approach. I'd love to see how his home looks the rest of the year, wouldn't you?? The robin’s egg-blue walls are gorgeous. I especially love it in the kitchen as a backdrop to the dinnerware and bottles. See more great photos by Erica George Dines and read all about the whimsical space over at Atlanta Home & Lifestyles!

Armonia Decors + Toujours Magazine

It's old news around here that I'm a big fan of Emily Ruddo of Armonia Decors, but did you know she is also the design editor for Toujours Magazine? Along with co-founder and photographer Meghan Beierle-O'Brien, Emily spent the weekend sprucing up her fabulous LA apartment (we've seen and loved here!) for the Toujour Magazine Holiday Decorating Guide. I absolutely adore her coastal Christmas mantle! Emily actually decorated it with two different styles, so head over to Toujours Magazine to see the second look (the spread starts on page 42) and see more pics of her place, plus get lots of festive tips for decorating your home. Keep your eye on Emily's blog too because she will be sharing behind the scenes details of the holiday photo shoot all week. And for more holiday inspiration, check out the Toujours Magazine blog!

Tobi Fairley + Beverly Wells

What's better than a home decorated by Tobi Fairley?? How about a home decorated for the holidays by Tobi and her mother Beverly Wells! I positively adore the turquoise and green palette that was inspired by the Wells' furnishings and gorgeous aqua-painted kitchen cabinetry, as well as the green-and-cream fabric from Tobi's new fabric line. They actually used it to make the fab striped runners on the dining table...so cute! You can see more images taken by Rett Peek and read all about their traditions over at At Home in Arkansas!

Sitting in a Tree Events + Joielala Photographie

Can you even handle this?!?! Pretty sure this is the most darling and delightful party I've ever had the pleasure of seeing! Julie of Belle Maison had an awesome post full of Merry and Bright Christmas decor, which included this festive and fun event put together by the insanely talented Tori of Sitting in a Tree Events and captured perfectly by Joielala Photographie out of San Diego. All of the glitter and confetti paired with the hot pink and turquoise makes me deliriously happy! Oh and s'mores...do you know how much I love s'mores?! This is all one big dream come true! So many cute ideas here for your next get-together or holiday decor. I don't know about you, but I'm so inspired now....AND happy!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Last November I shared some beautiful photographs taken by the Shanna LeRoy and felt today was a perfect day to repost a few of them! Ashley Russel designed the droolworthy Thanksgiving spread you see here, including the great trash-to-treasure DIY projects. To see the rest of the photos, pop on over here!

I want to wish all of you here in the US a very special day, and to let you know how thankful I am to have such supportive, enthusiastic readers!! A million thank you's for the joy you bring me each day with your comments and emails! :)

We are currently enjoying some sunshine down in Arizona (picking up Charley tomorrow!), but I'll be back blogging again Tuesday. In the meantime there will be some great guest bloggers headed your way!

Happy Thanksgiving!! :)

Boo...

I really do not enjoy Halloween or anything scary. But I am looking forward to some trick or treaters tonight, now that we live in a neighbor. For our pumpkin craving, we went simple with this design...drilling holes in the pumpkin.
