A New Blog Jessie Lauren

A new blog has arrived and I'm especially excited as its my beautiful daughter Jess. For as long as I can remember she has loved fashion and decorating. At age thirteen while most girls were having disco parties Jess was having high tea's, the theme was to dress vintage, on one occassion she wore the most beautiful turquiose velvet dress bought at a vintage shop in Paddington, Brisbane. She still has the dress today. I can't tell you how many weekends we spent at the markets and in vintage stores.

A few years later when shabby chic was the next big thing we both would spend hours talking about how we could create a store selling beautiful french/vintage homewares. That year (2005) we opened Lily-G in Brisbane, named after the birth of my little surprise Lily Grace! During those five years, Jess even though at school, would spend hours late in the night helping me merchandise the windows and shelves, fanactically making every clothing garment sit perfectly in order by size with not a tag out of place. She would take as much pride in her work as I did, our store at the time was a reflection of our passion for all things beautiful.

Several years later with a fabulous job at Vivien's Model Management Jess is exposed to a world of international models, great work ethic and is invited to the best fashion events in Brisbane. As a parent I have always taught my children to love what they do and be passionate about it!

Jessie Lauren, years further on, was an idea she thought of as a way to express her passion for fashion and beautiful interiors, her idea was to create an online store that had a unique difference with products not easily sourced or readily available. She wanted products that were price conscious and affordable, most importantly it was a place to express her unique style.

I would love you to support her new blog and to encourage her as us blogging girls do, by adding her to your list and stopping bye to say hello!
